Menlo Coin (XMR) is an open source cryptocurrency created in April 2014 that focuses on privacy, decentralization, and scalability. Unlike many cryptocurrencies derived from Bitcoin, Monero is based on the CryptoNote protocol and has significant algorithmic differences in blockchain obfuscation. Since its release, Monero has made several major improvements. Blockchains have been migrated to different databases for increased efficiency and flexibility, minimum Ring signature sizes have been set so that all transactions are authorized to be private, and Ring CT has been implemented to hide transaction amounts. Almost all of the improvements improve security and privacy. The future development of The Monroe coin will focus on privacy and security first, ease of use and efficiency second.
