Gala Games is a blockchain game development company founded in 2018 that is developing and operating several different kinds of Games. Gala Games brings non-blockchain players into the realm of decentralized gaming by creating simple portals and giving players control over their in-game assets, allowing players to trade items they receive from the game on the blockchain. Gala says it wants to become a decentralized gaming ecosystem that gives players back the control they deserve.&#x20;

Gala Games was founded by Eric Schiermeyer. Eric was previously the creator of FarmVille, one of Facebook's most popular applications in 2009, and a co-founder of MySpace (once the world's largest social network) and Zynga (a $10 billion NASDAQ gaming company). Eric was the chief designer of Farmville, a Zynga game that took the world by storm in 2009. At its peak, Zynga had 235 million monthly active users and 25 million DAILY active users. At present, Eric himself is also focused on the development of blockchain games.
